SIR PERCY LAKE SCHOLARSHIP

–provided annually by South Vancouver Island Zone (SVIZ)

–military and/or Legion association is not required; the scholarship is open to all students (see criteria)

–based on academic excellence and community service

–deadline is July 15 for submission to the Branch which reviews and forwards to SVIZ for final review at the end of July

–specifically for first year students at University of Victoria, Royal Roads University or Vancouver Island University (Nanaimo/Cowichan campus)

PUBLIC SERVICE BRANCH 127 BURSARY
- provided by Public Service Branch 127 when and if gaming grants have been approved by the Gaming Policy & Enforcement Branch of the British Columbia Government
- only studies at BC post-secondary facilities eligible for bursary funding
- BC residency as documented on the Canada Revenue Agency’s Notice of Assessment
- Legion membership or military affiliation NOT required
- open to all students from public and independent schools and undergrads in Greater Victoria
- based on financial need
- deadline is July 31st for submission to Branch 127
- final processing takes place in mid to late August
